PatternWeaver for RT-Middleware is a UML modeling tool that corresponds to RT-Middleware,
a common platform for structuring robot.
This tool operates on PatternWeaver, a UML tool that operates on Eclipse and strongly supports the design and development of RT components for RT-Middleware combining UML diagrams.

Component-based development is a development method that has various benefits but still has some issues such as difficulty to confirm operation on component unit, necessity to combine with other components, and necessity of system to test by calling each operation.
In order to solve the issues, it is effective that each tool used for each development phase
is integrated into the integrated development environment. Since PatternWeaver for RT-Middleware operates on Eclipse, tools necessary for each development phases can be integrated so that it can reduce loads on the design/development of RT components.
